Accommodation, conference fee, and arrival information

All the activities, including the registration, the welcome party, lectures, and poster sessions, are taking place at Hotel Amfora (Hotel Amfora information).

Hotel Amfora is five to ten minutes from the city hall.

• • The arrival and registration is scheduled on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
  • The welcome party is taking place on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Accommodation (Hotel Amfora)

The available rooms are booked on a ‘first come first serve’ basis.
The breakfast is included in the price. The local tax is 2 euros/day.
The rates offered to the workshop participants are as follows:

• • Standard room, balcony – sgl occ 132 €/dbl occ 144 €
  • Studio suite, balcony – sgl occ 151 €/dbl occ 164 €
  • Superior room, large balcony – sgl occ 167 €/dbl occ 180 €

Special rates apply between October 10^th and 20^th 2025.
The participants will book accommodation subject to availability at the time of booking, according to the Terms and Conditions stated in the Sales Policy. The Sales Policy is visible in room rate details for the selected room type.

Conference fee

• • The conference fee is 500 € for regular participants and 400 € for students, covering conference kit, welcome party, coffee break with snacks, drinks, and snacks during the poster presentation, the conference dinner, and the conference trip. For accompanying persons, the conference fee is 200 €, covering the welcome party, the conference dinner, and the conference trip.

• • The registration fee should preferably be paid by bank transfer. However, for participants coming from non-EU countries, it will also be possible to pay the fee on-site at the conference reception with cash (please see the Registration form).  

Arrival information

The town of Hvar is situated on the island of Hvar, so you should first reach Split, the nearest (and the largest) town on the Croatian coast.

From Split to Hvar by ferry or catamaran

• • If you travel by car you need to take a ferry to Stari Grad and drive for another 15 minutes to reach the town of Hvar: Split – Hvar (Stari Grad). If you are coming without a car, a bus is waiting for each ferry to take the passengers to the town of Hvar.
  • There are only three ferry lines (Split-Stari Grad) for traveling with a car on 12 Oct. :(departure-arrival) 8:30-10:20, 14:30-16:20, and 20:30-22:20. Also check ferry and catamaran lines for Sunday, 12 Oct.  here.

• • Otherwise, you can take either a catamaran to the town of Hvar directly:

To Split

• By plane

Use the direct bus from the Split airport to the Split harbour where you can take a ferry or a catamaran to the island of Hvar. The airport is 20 km from Split (about half an hour by bus)

• By train

The railway station in Split is situated at the Split harbor where you can take a ferry or a catamaran to the island of Hvar.
